Canberra Botanic Garden

Translation: Enjoyed my Saturday afternoon in Canberra Botanic Garden with a good friend. It’s a place who has all sorts of different plants, flowers and trees from all over Australia. We had lovely weather and a good and fun day. Lucky for me, my friend works with trees and therefore she was able to tell me a lot about all of them. Like having my own guide which on the same time is good company. It’s always good to learn something new. A really good day!

Canberra Balloon Spectacular

Translation: I spent my friday at a rugby match with some good friends, beer, dancing and a lot of fun until early in the morning. Saturday morning at 5am it was up again, because I decided  wanted to see Canberra Balloon Spectacular, which started at 6am. Up and get dressed in some warm clothes and out. It was really beautiful and amazing to see so many fantastic balloons get up in the air at the same time. I have to admit, that when I after I few hours was back home in my bed sleeping, it was all worth it waking up so early to experience it. So happy I did it even though I was so tired!

6 things to do this weekend

IMG_4387Som tiden dog flyver afsted.

  2. Stå tidligt op lørdag morgen, for at se luftballoner over Canberra og nyde morgenmaden ved solopgangen.
  5. Tage i Canberra Botanic Garden i det gode vejr

  1. I will spent my friday night with some good friends at a rugby match
  2. Wake up early to se hot air ballons over Canberra and enjoy my breakfast while the sun is rising.
  3. Bake a delicious pear pie and enjoy it without feeling guilty.
  4. Enjoy a good book in the sun
  5. Use a afternoon in Canberra Botanic Garden in the lovely weather
  6. Not sure yet if my sunday workout will be a swim in a pool or going to the gym . maybe both..

Have a good weekend !

Circa Beyond – A fantastic show !

Circa – Beyond skriver selv på deres hjemmeside: “There is a line between human and animal, between madness and sanity, between logic and dream… We invite you to step over this line… and go Beyond

Beyond is warm, surreal and unexpectedly moving. Blending dynamic circus acts like trapeze and Chinese pole with cheeky feats of strength and multiple bunny heads, set to a bewitching mix of show tunes, ballads and electronica, this creation delights and enchants.

Beyond is set on multiple stages within stages – small red-curtained worlds that offer a glimpse of this rich and empathetic world. Maybe we are in a cabaret, a zoo, an asylum or a stage. Seven artists have gathered here tonight to express their inner selves and to connect with each other and the audience.

Over the course of Beyond we meet the artists, marvel at their skills, enter their personalities and emerge into a strangely beautiful and curiously tender world.”

Translation: Friday night I went out with two of my good friends in the theater, to see a slightly different show. A show I would call a kind of circus. Circa – Beyond. It is a kind of circus for adults where the story and the action is a little more hidden and where it goes beyond the ordinary. It was a performance that certainly was not disappointing – not a all. It was absolutely fantastic and almost unreal what they managed to do. I’m sure I was not the only one with that opinion, because when the show was over, I stood up with the rest of the audience and applauded. They managed to mix circus with theater and humor. They did not need clowns, because the humor was it through the entire piece in an amazing way. Serious and frivolous pieces, all of which had a fine and good connection to each other. I then impressed with all the many amazing things they managed to do. I had to repeatedly hold my breath because what they did was so “dangerous”, exciting and transboundary. They managed to make it all look so easy, although in reality it is really hard to do. I can barely get my arms down over this show – so amazing performance, good humor and elegant music.

If you ever get the opportunity to experience one of their shows (the perform in 30 countries), then do it – you definitely won’t regret it !

Coconut/almondcakes with dark chocolate

Translation: I really like coconut and therefore I wanted to bake some coconut cakes with coconut, since we had some coconut flour in the house. I choose to add almonds to get them a bit crispy and dark chocolate, because I think it tastes good with coconut.

Coconut/almondcakes with fard chocolate (around 12 cakes).

  • 125 g coconutflour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 banana
  • 10-12 chopped amlonds
  • Around 50 g dark (i used 85%) chocolate

Mash the banana well with a fork and mix together with the eggs. Stir then desiccated coconut and almonds in the mix. Pour the mixture into small balls on a baking sheet with baking paper. Bake the coconut cakes in the oven for 15 minutes at 175 degrees hot air. Melt the chocolate over a water bath and put the chocolate on the coconut cakes at the bottom. The rest of the chocolate can beneficial be spread over the cakes.
